Throughout this month The Power and The Honor Foundation in conjunction with The He-Man and She-Ra Blog will be showcasing never-before-seen Filmation production artwork.
This quite literally striking piece of layout artwork shows a great deal of action taking place. In this piece we see Man-E-Faces, disguised as Beast Man, zapped by Skeletor. The beauty of layout artwork is that you often see a variety of styles. Some artists enjoyed illustrating with pencil, and some with colored pencil, as is the case with this piece.

Gotta say that it ended up looking better in the episode.
His expression is amazing in both this and the final animated piece ... Beast Man's face is illustrated in a similar way, in a couple of shots, at the beginning of "The Dragon Invasion," when the Mother Dragon attacks both Skeletor and Beast Man. :)
Haha love Beast Man's (Man-E-Faces in disguise) expression!
That deserves Beastman!
