Throughout this month The Power and The Honor Foundation in conjunction with The He-Man and She-Ra Blog will be showcasing never-before-seen Filmation production artwork.
Charles Zembillas was one of the primary character designers on the She-Ra series. Here we see one of his concept illustrations for the character of Leech. Even though this design sports suction cups (though not as prominent as his final character model) he is of a much heavier build. Interestingly, another illustration by Zembillas has the character with a much slimmer physique. It appears that Filmation settled somewhere in the middle.

I like this concept-artwork of Leech. The face has a dragon-esque look!
This version of the design of Leech makes him look like he could fit in with the Horde villains from "Origin of the Sorceress! :)
Also barely recognizable.
