Who are the leaders?

After the UK Masters of the Universe comic changed direction and began telling stories focused on He-Man's new adventures in space, a reader asked a question in issue twenty two of the He-Man Adventure magazine that we all wanted to ask. The answer from Scrollos that Man-At-Arms and Hordak were now the respective leaders for the forces of good and evil on Eternia, never really sat well with me. I always thought that once Skeletor left, either Evil-Lyn would take control of the Evil Warriors, or there would be so much in-fighting that the group would disband...

That sounds like the best answer to me, as far as the villains are concerned, as this post seems to be based more on the comics rather than the Filmation version, in which Hordak resides on Etheria. Evil-Lyn would definitely be my first choice as lead villain! :)

I assumed from this answer that with no leader in Skeletor's absence, the remaining evil warriors had willingly integrated themselves into Hordak's Evil Horde instead. But you're right, it would seem more likely that Evil-Lyn would have taken the chance to lead the evil warriors herself now that Skeletor had gone.

Perhaps she teamed up with Hordak with the plan to betray him later. It would have been great if the comic could have published stories about what was going on on Eternia in He-Man and Skeletor's absence, so we could see how the other characters were handling the struggle between good and evil under the new leaders! Actually, with Man-At-Arms as the new leader for the heroic forces, that kind of fits in with Jack Olesker's plan for the unmade second season of the NA cartoon, with MAA having misguidedly assumed control of Eternia as a dictator!
