"The World Devourer!" #4

Here are pages thirteen to sixteen of "The World Devourer!" as seen in the Masters of the Universe special published in 1988 by London Edition Comics. In an incredibly trippy-looking world we find out who is behind this scheme...

Everyone loves Spirit.

There is something quite innocent and wholesome about Robin Davies' illustrations during his time on the She-Ra Ladybird books. This illustration from "Spirit is kidnapped" features quite a few characters from the main cast. I always liked the pink hues that Robin gave Spirit, much like the toy of the character...

"The World Devourer!" #3

Here are pages nine to twelve of "The World Devourer!" as seen in the Masters of the Universe special published in 1988 by London Edition Comics. For some reason throughout this strip I find it hard to accept Man-At-Arms with a blonde mustache!

Iron Master montage.

"The Iron Master" was at times a very visually-stimulating book featuring a large robotic creature terrorizing the citizens of Eternia. This page features a fantastic image of the Iron Master in silhouette, with just his piercing red eyes staring back. Beside that image is an example of the Eternians running for their very lives!

Here I present the first four pages of "The World Devourer!"; a feature-length story in which the heroes find themselves battling a destructive force intent on destroying Eternia.

Skeletor's crazy eyes!

This illustration of Skeletor by Robin Davies from the Ladybird book "A Trap For He-Man" always makes me smile; mainly due to the fact that Skeletor's crazy eyes look like a couple of jewels! Also I cannot recall Skeletor being drawn by any other artist with this much of a green hue about him!

Catra, Clawdeen, and the moon.

"Spirit is kidnapped", the She-Ra Ladybird book, features a lot of beautiful artwork by Robin Davies. Here is yet another piece, with Catra riding Clawdeen, whom amusingly was drawn without the mane that the character often sported.
