Bruce Timm's final two panels from
"The Revenge of Skeletor!", a minicomic from
The New Adventures of He-Man toyline, are fantastically atmospheric! In the first we see a very powerful-looking
Skeletor piloting his ship, having escaped from
He-Man. You can see the artistic influences of
Jack Kirby in this illustration, with a great many areas of black utilized to create a sense of both mood and depth. And in the second panel we see the evil being heading towards
Nordor, the moon that features his terrifying likeness. This would actually be the last time that Bruce Timm would work on anything associated with
He-Man until the postcard artwork he illustrated for the DVD release in 2005.
